WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: BIG

When looking through my archives I found these two examples of big images for the Daily Post Challenge.  The apple core was photographed on the grounds of one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s home, The Kentuck Knob.

The balloon of the larger than life marine, was a display item at our Fourth of July celebration located at Point State Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I hope you agree these are some “BIG” images.

BIG APPLE CORE

THE MARINES

Semper Fidelis means “Always Faithful.”

US MARINE SLOGAN

Few Good Men:  On 20 March 1779 in Boston, Capt. William Jones, USMC, advertised for “a few good men” to enlist in the Corps for naval duty.  The term seemed ideally suited for Marines, mainly because of the implication that “a few” good men would be enough.  This term has survived for over 200 years and has been synonymous with U.S. Marines ever since.

  18. Magnificent shots. ” A few good men” does sounds inspiring although wouldn’t it be more amazing we we have lots of good men in general? The world needs more of those.

  19. Now that is a big apple! :-)
