SHAKE IT OFF

This week I have been especially inspired by the post of many of my fellow bloggers.  So I write.

When someone says an unkind word to you, that hurts you in some way.

                        “Shake it off”

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

When things don’t go as you expected.

                        “Shake it off”

God will guide you into all truth and teach you.

 When one door closes.

                        “Shake it off”

A window will open for you.

When you have the blues and feel down and out.

                        “Shake it off”

Wait upon the Lord He will renew your strength, you will mount up with wings as eagles, you shall run and not get weary, and you shall walk and not faint.

When you enemy comes against you to do you harm.

                        “Shake it off”

No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

I have written these words as a reminder for my eyes and ears first, because God’s word tells me to examine myself to see if I am doing His will.

Be Encouraged!  Be Blessed!

The photograph was taken on a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium last year.

  1. A thoughtful post today and a great photo to go with the writing. What else could a follower ask for?
    Nice, Francine.

  2. Acts 28:5-6 But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. 6The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds….there are time we need to loose, release, and let go of whatever is clinging to us, shake yourself like a rug or a garment allow the Word of God to be a dust buster, shop vac etc in your life….

  3. well said francine, and what a wonderful image you chose to illustrate “shake it off”!

  4. You posted this in January; this is the first time I’ve seen it and it fits perfectly for today.

  5. Great post. Love the inspiration.
