NO CHERRY BLOSSOMS BUT . . . . .

I WON !!!!

First of all I want to thank Lenzner Tour and Travel for providing the most amazing tour to the Opening Ceremony of the 100th Anniversary of Washington, D. C.’s Cherry Blossom Festival.  Although the cherry blossoms were 95% gone from the trees, there was so much more that this trip offered.

On the tour I was able to celebrate the giving of the cherry blossom trees to the United States from the Empire of Japan.  We visited the United Stated Botanic Garden, had premium reserved seats at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremony at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  Also we were able to see the White House, Washington Monument, Martin Luther King, Jr. Statue and many more sights around Washington, D. C.  We enjoyed a guided tour of the Capitol Visitor’s Center. Visited the inside of the United Stated Capital were we had an experienced guide (who was born and raised in Pennsylvania) and learned about the United States Library of Congress.

On the final day of our tour we enjoyed a “Pink Party” with a Grand Final Cherry Blossom Cruise onboard the Odyssey III.  Each guest was invited to get their “bloom on” and wear their best dressed in pink outfit to have a chance to win a 2 Nights in New York City Package.  The trip includes 2 nights at a New York City hotel, dinner cruise for 2 passengers aboard the Bateaux cruise ship, $150 Carmine’s gift card, and 2 tickets to a Broadway show!

Someone told me there were eleven bus group totaling 650 passengers from different cities booked on the cruise.  They selected a best dressed person from each of the buses represented and narrowed the selections down to three.  From the three I was selected the winner of the First Annual Pink Gala Cherry Blossom CruiseWOO HOO!  I WON!  YEA!

I AM THANKFUL

TO EVERYONE WHO

MADE THIS POSSIBLE.

That’s not all.  The wonderful people at Lenzner Tours phoned me this morning and offered me FREE TRANSPORTATION to my winning trip to New York City.  How awesome is that!  I am so grateful.  God is good.

Please visit throughout the rest of the week for more photos and slide show of this wonderful trip.  And watch for next month’s trip, when I go to see the musical, JONAH, at the Sight and Sound theater located in Lancaster, PA

I also want to thank all my fellow bloggers for your support and well wishes.

BE ENCOURAGED!  BE BLESSED!
