Francine In Retirement
Seeing Life Through Photography

Today’s assignment from Photo Friday is “GEOMETRIC”.  See other related articles at Photo Friday’s website.

A few months ago I was in our nation’s Capital, located in Washington D.C.  and played the tourist.

I had not been in D.C. in over twenty years.  One of my tourist stops was the Capital building, which serves as the center of the United States’ Government, of the people, for the people and by the people.  Below are photos I took outside and inside of the Capital to show you the geometric designs of this architectural masterpiece of one of our famous historical buildings.  Click on Capital for a virtual view of it.

“We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” —Preamble of the Constitution of the United States”

“In God we trust.”

  1. The Capitol building is a work of art and your photos, Francine, do it justice. THis is a clever response to the challenge.

  2. Great entry. Perhaps I’ll join the Photo Friday later on.

  3. Thees are very fine Francine. I love these kind of photographs.

  4. These are such gorgeous shots! I love the detail in the architecture and the angles at which you’ve shot them.
