Francine In Retirement
Seeing Life Through Photography

The last part of my triple treat excursions was aboard The Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad Train located in nearby Romney, WV.  The train passes along many scenic areas along the South Potomac River.  The many areas visited are streams, rivers, wooded areas, farmlands and towing mountain cliffs.

One activity passengers love is trying to spot wildlife that are often encountered.  In particular many people try to get a glimpse of the American Bald Eagle.  They makes their home along the South Bend of the Potomac River through what is known as “The Trough”, an area noted for bald eagle sightings.  We only had one eagle sighting on our trip that I was fortunate to capture.

Another popular activity was riding in the open air car called the gondola to view the scenic surroundings and colorful fall foliage that on this visit was nearing its peak.

I hope you enjoy viewing the little video I put together for you below

How wonderful it is to know our Creator had provided for us such a beautiful planet to call our home.
