WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: CHANGING SEASONS
ICE SKATING AT THE PPG RINK
Fall fades into winter. The hours of daylight grow short, and darkness appears to reign. For millennia, people have been “raging against the dying of the light” by observing various festivals and religious holidays that center on light overcoming darkness.
Light Up Night kicks off the annual holiday season here in Pittsburgh. The city dons its finest and celebrates the season until it concludes with a final grand spectacle: First Night Pittsburgh 2013.
Tens of thousands annually flock to the Golden Triangle for tree lighting ceremonies, caroling, the unveiling of the window displays at Macy’s, and the arrival of Santa. (Information taken from the internet)
Below and the one above are photos of Macy’s window displays and Santa waiting to hear the wishes of little boys and girls in and around the Pittsburgh area.
I hope you enjoy the displays. Don’t forget to see other changing seasons entries at The Daily Post at WordPress.com. They are truly amazing.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
