STORY CHALLENGE: LETTER “Z”
ZAMBONI
People in Pittsburgh can’t get through the holidays without making a visit to the PPG ice skating rink. To keep the rink in tip top shape, out comes the Zamboni ( trademark for a machine like a tractor used to smooth the ice in the rink. )
During the winter season from mid-November through early March, the Plaza transforms into The Rink at PPG Place, a spectacular one-of-a-kind outdoor ice skating rink. During the holiday season, the rink incorporates the plaza’s traditional 60-foot tree. A fountain replaces the ice in the spring.

Being a hockey fan, I didn’t think I’d hear a Zamboni machine mentioned at all this year. You can imagine my surprise to come here, Francine, and see one. Thanks for the smile. 🙂

I love Zambonis I have an odd child-like desire to sit in the seat next to the driver at hockey games and wave to the crowd. LOL! Thank you for all your joyful posts!

Had never herd of a Zamboni Francine! Not surprising I guess since we wouldn’t have any use for it anyway 🙂
