The lion is one of the four big cats in the genus Panthera and a member of the family Felidae. With some males exceeding 250 kg in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger.

If you knew when feeding time was, they’d be up and around, but I wouldn’t want to get too close when they’re hungry.

They are truly amazing animals. I have seen them when they are hungry – and their roars can be very loud and ferocious.
