WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: FUTURE TENSE

DEATH – WHERE IS THY STING?

I know death for all of us is something that the future holds and we do not like to think about.  My prayer is that you not be afraid of it, because we have the promise of the Word of God which says: “Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.  Do you believe this?”.  John 11:25-26

I AM LIVING NOW TO LIVE AGAIN

I am living now to live again,

For life is too good to close;

As the body breaks with the weight of years,

The soul the stronger grows.

I am living now to live again,

For God within leads on

From dream to deed,  from deed to dream,

And shall when earth is gone.

I am living now to live again

As spirit values will;

For the soul I build of spirit stuff

No death can ever kill.

I am living now to live again—

Flesh and bone will turn to dust;

But my soul, a part of the eternal God,

Can live, will live, it must.

As Christians we are about to enter a Holy week of activity, where we will celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What an example of the wonderful promise and gift He had given to all of us who believe!

  5. I agree with the comments above. It is a difficult theme ( I have no idea what I’m going to do!) but this is not only appropriate for the theme but also a very thought provoking. Your opening sentences are very reassuring and I feel very glad to have your support in an area that is quite scary for some of us.

    • I know it is scary for some. I once felt the same way. As you grow older there are things you learn not to fear, especially when you know there is hope and a future when Christ is involve. Will keep you in prayer and know you always have my support.
