Francine In Retirement
Seeing Life Through Photography

This blog has grown so much since the time I did my first post.  I know it is due to the followers and visitors who stop by to comment or like the posts presented here.

I want to show my support and appreciation by listing, over a period of time, some special blogs I read.

Every Thursday, I will publish a list of blogs that I enjoy.  They have been a great source of encouragement, inspiration and information. This is not an award, but a “SHOUT OUT” to them.  I hope you will check out these wonderful blogs.  I am sure you will be blessed by them.

If you don’t see your blog listed, the time will come when it will be.

Jake is from Manila,  Graphic Artist / Photographer – He believes in progress not destruction. He likes to imagine that things impossible will turn to the possible.  Everything on his blog is from his very own collections.  His creations from pictures to 3D graphics are amazing.  He is the creator and host of the Sunday Post Challenge, which are related to everyday life.

Is a wonderful and loving blog that highlights family, and people who have made a difference in his life.   His past, his present and dreams for the future.  It is about people who have taught him what love is and makes him happy.  It is about the places  that he  has been and memories that are a part of him.  It is about his continuing journey that he makes every day. A journey fueled by the burning passion of the “Island Traveler” in him.  A  journey he hopes to walk with all of  those that shares a similar passion for life and all its beautiful, wonderful blessings.

Jo or Johanna describes herself as having a restless nature.  She can’t be still for too long, unless of course it’s sunny and she has a good book.  She loves to travel and to explore our world.  She feels it doesn’t have to be the big wide world, she can be ridiculously happy not too far from home, so long as she is out there, just embracing life.  She keeps a travel diary and shares her many experiences and travels with those of like passions. Visit her blog and experience her travels.

The Blissful Adventurer is a photo journey about the planet viewed from the eyes of Michael Housewright. Michael shares images of places where he finds outstanding living, eating, and love. He believes the eye can most quickly glean the bulk of a story so that the words can shape the details and sometimes the punch lines. The author and his wife live on the road exploring new regions of the USA and abroad.

Come join in his observations of the absurd and the beautiful viewed through the eyes of a well-fed wanderer. Experience the details of a strange life working on and off again in Italy and traveling about the USA adjusting to regional idiosyncrasies and capturing them on phones, cameras, and in prose. Find out where to eat and why from a man who dines out over 400 times a year. If quality of life is your bag the The Blissful Adventurer is your blog.

Faithrises is a place for readers to be encouraged and motivated, through stories, quotes, and biblical examples.

Faith is her name, and she hopes that you will be uplifted and inspired by her blog posts, as you rise above personal difficulties and challenging circumstances.  If you are in need of encouragement and inspiration, visit her blog.

She loves to write about anything and everything. She enjoys traveling, and does so frequently, so sometimes she may be blogging from South Africa, sometimes from West Palm Beach in Florida. The possibilities are endless. She has close family and friends on three continents, She plays the piano, goes to the gym, loves to read and sometimes even find the time to watch TV. She has a son, a daughter and five gorgeous grandchildren, and she has been happily married to the same wonderful man for umpteen years. Visit her blog and travel the continents with her.  You will see some beautiful places.

Several years ago, John realized that some of his family’s recipes were rarely prepared and would likely be lost if no one used them. So he began his journey, with his Mom, Theresa, as his guide. After his Mom was taken from them in 2001, her Sister, his Zia Lea, took over the reins. Although he feels his cooking skills will never equal those of his two wonderful teachers, at least the recipes are being preserved, used, and now shared. To be sure, a blog of just his family recipes wouldn’t be very long, so, he has added some of his own favorites as he goes along. A visit to his blog will show you some amazing recipes, with detailed instructions and photos to guide you.  A little hint, eat something before you view his post, I assure you, you will be hungry after visiting there.

What lives inside of his heart and spirit is a true purpose to share the true joy that causes his face to smile each day, the spirit that illuminates his mornings with the radiance of His grace and love.
He believes that there are enough problems in our world each day, and his goal is to bring into lives the taste of a true bliss that is ours for the taking. He desires to always share with us his heart’s love, and happiness  from the deepest of wells where His love has taken up residence within!  Enjoy the words and may your hearts be forever blessed! I love Wendell’s heartfelt poetry and I know you will enjoy it as well. Visit him to renew your spirit.

Gilly is a middle-aged techno hen with a passion for travel, writing, reading and well, life really. She is pretty much unstoppable, working full-time, studying and crafting pretty things. She loves people – even the ones she don’t like and have to stop herself from talking to strangers, because she feels they probably don’t all want to speak to her.   At least that’s what they think in the beginning, but she finds its fun trying to win them over. Once she has gotten their attention, she shuts up and let them talk while she soak up as much as she can. She tries to take her camera out for walks and sometimes gets good shots but though she have a good eye she feels she lack the technical skills.  Don’t you believe it. She is a wonderful photographer and story-teller.  Visit her blog to see for yourself.

Intriguing, sensitive, mysterious, loving, artistic and crackling with excitement for life is a pretty good description of who she is. She has retired from the world of art where she sold her Artfully Designed Handmade Jewelry for 28 years; although, art will always be a part of who she is no matter what venue she choose to express it in.  She is always dreaming of ways to touch the hearts of those who visit her in far greater ways than before they visited her blog.  Visit her blog and see her amazing posts.  You will always learn something new.
