Seeing Life Through Photography

Scripture is full of specific instruction on how we should treat each other. If we are serious about following Christ, we will heed his admonition that “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).

Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11

I want to show my support and appreciation for this community by listing, over a period of time, some special blogs I read.

Every Thursday, I will publish a list of blogs that I enjoy.  They have been a great source of encouragement, inspiration and information. This is not an award, but a “SHOUT OUT” to them.  I hope you will check out these wonderful blogs.  I am sure you will be blessed by them.

If you don’t see your blog listed, the time will come when it will be.

Geedebee’s Photography followed Artistic Humanities at Sint Lucas Gent … currently 18 years as “Staff Planner” working in a big company …

Loves anything that smells of Art and Culture … Nikonist …, Music lover …, … Amateur painter, City Tripper …, Horimono … Irezumi, etc, etc …

Some years ago he started (following the example of his daughter) … blogging about this and that … today his blog is about his passion … Photography …

Meet James and Terri Vance. They are high school sweethearts who went on to international careers and became world nomads. Today, 57 countries later, they are still traveling and still in love. Check out their story and where they have traveled on their wonderful blog.

Pix & Kardz.  So what can you expect here?

The plan is to post at least one image a week. Sometimes there may be two or more. However, the plan is to post at least one. Sometimes they will be seasonal. On occasion there will be variations on a specific topic for a few weeks or days in a row. Those may or may not be announced ahead of time. And from time to time, they will not be planned but the result of one of your comments, or those of another blogger. Previously posted topics-in-a-series can be found on the “Beginnings” page.

And then there will also be those times when the images will be entirely random. Yet I hope all of them will give you something to either smile or think about, or possibly even both.

Travel Photography by Dmitrii Lezine

This blog is a labor of love. The photography hobby of his is a labor of love. He tries to post a new photo at least every other day, sometimes more, sometimes less. It requires a lot of time investment and unless he didn’t really liked to take photos and share them with everyone else, his blog would not be here.

So stop by and taking a look at the different places that he had a chance to visit. Every photo was taken because he thought it was cool and unique in its own way. You can look at different categories on the right side of the blog, pick your destination and see what he saw.

In summer of 2010 he discovered the wonderful world of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. From that point he decided that he had something to share with us and  grow with his mastery of fine art photography. This is how his blog was created.

Lead.Learn.Live  David grew up in Ootischenia, a small town in British Columbia, Canada – population of 500.   He grew up fishing, playing hockey and tormenting his younger brothers.  Under firm parental guidance, he learned the “life trades” of discipline, work ethic and execution.  Fast forward more than 20 years of working and leading in large U.S. corporations, here he is.  A husband.  A father.  A leader.  A manager.  A grinder.  A reader.  A learner.

As Craig Harper states, “genetics aren’t optional but what we do with them is.”  I believe that being a life long learner is core to an inspired life.  Life is about growth and realizing our own unique potential.  Inch by Inch.  Day by Day.

He is trying to live a similar life – and share some of these “ah-ha” moments or inspirations that make me wonder, make me laugh or bring tears to my eyes.

Why Blog?  I think Seth Godin captured my inspiration for blogging when he was asked why he blogged.  He said “if you are blogging for other people you are going to be disappointed…even if no one would read it, I would still blog…this is a great chance for me to clear my thoughts and put them into the world, what an opportunity.”

Ravi Patel is an amateur photographer with a passion for taking images from a unique perspective. With his travels all over the world, he has captured some interesting photos that he shares on this website.

Ravi loves black and white images and the digital format allows him to experiment with artistic renderings. He focuses mostly on nature, landscapes, animals and unusual vistas and images.

His name is Rumpy, and he is an Alaskan Malamute. He used to live in Middle Tennessee, but now he and his family reside in the Florida Panhandle of the US. He has this cool blog that he started in 2011. Here at they talk about all things animal, with a focus on animal welfare and responsible animal companion guardianship. But they also like to throw in a heaping helping of cute! cute! cute! I mean, how could you look at him and not melt, right?

His story? Well, he was found on the side of a busy street. Jenny thought she would help him find his home, but nobody claimed him. So now he lives with her.

Also living here is DeDe- an older lady of unknown origins that was living at the trash dump. DeDe has many health concerns, yet you’d never know it by looking at her. She’s the happiest dog in the whole world!

There are also some cats- they each have their own story. June Buggie is their chief spokesperson. He is 16 years old, crotchety, and not afraid to say what’s on his mind.

She is a nomad, a pilgrim, a vagabond, a wanderer.  She discovered the art of living and working abroad, and now she is hopelessly addicted. She love this world, full of surprises and adventures, and she loves exploring as many nooks and crannies of it as she possibly can.  She hopes she can do this for a long time to come. Visit her blog and see what she is doing today.

Her blog isn’t about fashion or food or travel or reality. It is about her and all the things she loves which ARE fashion, food, travel and beauty. She will promote the Philippines, especially CAM SUR.

Self taught graphic artist, residing in Tetouan (Morocco), and surfing the world.

His mission is to create an original artistic work that will make real your personal and business goals. In his blog you will find some of his professional work and some other artistic aspects of his interests.

A woman lost in thought armed with a camera. She takes some amazing photos. True to her theme, “from my eyes to yours.” Take time to visit her blog.

Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5
