MUSIC IN THE STREETS

It doesn’t matter where you live in the world you can always find good street music.  Above is a view from my neck of the woods of some of our street musicians.

The last time I was in Times Square I recorded this wonderful street band.  Take a listen.

I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity.

It’s something we are all touched by.

No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.

Billy Joel

Music doesn’t lie. If there is something to be changed in this world,

then it can only happen through music.

Jimi Hendrix

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination,

and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.

  3. Our downtowns would be so dreary without the street musicians. THey really do make a difference on the urban landscape. That band in Times Square was really good. Thanks for sharing, Francine.

  4. My city gets quite a lot of street musicians but best of all is Bath, theirs are quite classy!

  5. I support them, buskers official or unofficial. Grateful for the music.

  6. Love the quotes, Francine. The world would be a sadder place without music, for sure. You have a fine collection of street musicians there. 🙂

  7. Those are fabulous musicians you captured for us to lisen to. I’ve heard that type of flute playing at many of the art shows I particiapted in. They sound very ethnic. Nice post, Francine. Music does soothe the soul.
    Blessings …
