My youngest granddaughter, a junior at Pittsburgh Obama Academy of International Studies, has just spent a week at band camp.  They packed their bags and instrument in preparation for the hard work that was ahead of them.

Seven days of practice, three times a day, to master their music and marching skills, on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania ( CAL U ).

The week ended in the performance of the marching band before family, friends and fans Saturday evening on the college football field.

Everything was done in anticipation of the upcoming 2013 – 2014 high school football year.  GO EAGLES!
